First Armstrong Williams, now this

Sally Forth, 1/10/05

I don’t know which thought is more disturbing: that the creators of Sally Forth may have taken payola from Target, or that they may have taken payola from Rush.

“Payola.” That’s derived from a cactus, isn’t it? Regardless, they shouldn’t take it unless it’s legal.

Payola is derived from cactus and it is entirely legal. Problem is, you can only find it at Target and twenty minutes after taking it you have an insatiable desire to buy a Rush CD.

I think it’s most disturbing that this is what passes for witty banter in their house. What a living hell.

You know who I really feel sorry for in this strip? Target.

Perhaps they’re ill-drawn bags and they were actually shopping at CBS…

    “Sally Forth” sucks.

And not in the way that Ted might hope.

Is Ted Forth a stay-at-home dad?

To answer a previous question, she saw her old boss, “Ralph” at Target. They never mentioned whether or not he was buying a Rush CD. Probably not.

The Target Target is black. Yet Ted’s Eyes are half asleep in the 1st panel.

If Sally isn’t hot, and no comic strip woman can be obviusly, she’s someone that’s aged a little and hasn’t aged bad. You have to think that she enjoys going to bed with Ted and waking up in bed a little earlier than necessary before getting ready for work. She’s one of the few comic characters you can picture enjoying sex in a lot of ways. Possibly Blondie and Ms Buxley (but not with soldiers), but Sally makes it seem more real. After all, can you picture Cathy “in bed”? Sally, I think, you can picture.

Oh, for the love of The Flying Spaghetti Monster, it’s “You won’t believe whom I saw at the store today!”
